Longhorns

The J Bar B Ranch is proud to raise Registered TEXAS Longhorn Cattle! Our bloodlines are known for great horn and color! These are the most docile breed of cattle we have ever seen and hope you enjoy them as much as we do. We have decided to breed for both horn and size so you'll see most of our registered dams are Butler(big horn) and Yates(large size) bred. We also can thank our lush pastures for some of their size too. We have several prospects for sale both registered and non-registered that have lots of horn and eye-appealing color! Special thanks to Ken and Jeanette Rice of Cleveland, Texas for allowing us to purchase such great breeding stock!

We are very excited about this young bull and his name suits him. His dam is an exceptionally well bred cow with a lot of horn in her pedigree. We believe a good bull has a good dam and granddam. Sugar's calves are loudly colored and showing a lot of horn and size very young!

"Frisky" by Kyzers Slide Rule and out of a Bail Jumper bred dam has a new heifer by Honest Abe we call Whiskers that is almost all white with black head. She is bred back to Honest Abe.

Snowflurry by Honest Abe has a weaned bull calf that is red and white by Sugar and we have her 2007 heifer marked like her we call Snow Flake by Sugar for sale.

Black Beauty by Honest Abe has a brand new calf by Sugar and we have her '07 and '08
heifer by Sugar all black and whites.

Bright Eyes by Honest Abe is a rare Grulla and we have her 2008 grulla bull calf by Sugar also as well as her 2007 red and white steer we call Lover Boy...

Twilight by Honest Abe and out of a producing Kyzers Slide Rule dam is our youngest dam and she had her first bull calf by Sugar in 2008 (Casper) and she just calved in May '09 a heifer we call Twinkle..

Sue has a late 2008 loud colored bull calf by Sugar we call Brownie.

Pesky has consistently given us great color and horn! She has a weaned bull calf we call Spot by Sugar and is almost ready to calve again soon.

Chocolate has a huge horn base and has a recent heifer by Sugar that we call Socks.she is almost all white with four brown socks! We also have her 2008 bull calf we call Two Tone.

She is a branded Rafter 6 so we know good quality...just no papers.

Brindie another Rafter 6 longhorn with great horn and great brindle pattern. She had a heifer last year that we call Speck by Sugar that is almost solid black with white specks on its back. She is due to calf any day.

Violet is another Rafter 6 dam that has a very loudly colored bull calf on the ground we call Scamp that is about five months old...she is due to calf again therefore in late 2009.

Steers (for sale)

Lover Boy calved late 2007 and is out of Bright Eyes and Sugar and is already castrated. He is showing lots of horn with large base arleady! Super gentle and he is registered.

Wilson. Non-registered but is branded. Approx. 3.5 years old. Horn spread is approx. 7'!
Wilson is not only a steer with good horn but also is incredibly sweet and great eye candy!
