Broodmares
We are very proud of our broodmares and they took a long time to acquire. But, now with Cody gone we want to scale down and perhaps only raise a couple of babies a year. We plan to leave a few open again in 2010 and just breed for a couple of babies a year. Therefore, some are for sale and/or lease. All are proven producers, all are sweet, all are good mamas.

Own Daughter of Concention! CC has had four foals for us...two solid, one overo and now a palomino! Three have been shown: a solid is now in HUS training and was second at Kansas Futurity as a weanling, the overo, Prince of Code, won several youth points(see prospects page for a list of his accomplishments) and now is being ridden and the third, a solid was sold to a 4-H kid who won Grand championship with him and then sold to someone who plans to rope off him. Primo is her 2009 foal. He is the palomino and currently in our pasture awaiting a new home...CC is well bred, her foals have her pretty eye and athletic ability as well as beautiful necks and correct conformation.
CC has been leased to Misty Whatley of Sanger, Tx for breeding to Intensly Tuff, APHA World champion halter stallion.

Squirt is a fabulous producer for us. She was a multiple futurity winner herself too. She has had 4 foals for us. Her first filly (above left) was the AQHA Italian National Champion at 2 and Euopean National Champion at 3! We plan to show her 2008 palomino filly, Miss G(see palomino above). She foaled in April '09 a stunner overo colt by Barlnk Zipcode (See Phantom on foals page). We gave her a year off. Squirt is the type of broodmare that will be consistent. Her neck is incredible and she throws height. We have bred Squirt to A First At Last for a 2011 foal.

She also has an AQHA gelding by Kid Clu that has his Superior too. She has now had three foals for us...a WC overo weanling gelding, a solid filly in 2008 and now a stunner of a sorrel filly by A First at Last (see Teddy on 2009 foals page)! They don't come any sweeter or easier to handle than Hanna! Sadly, Hanna lost a red dun filly by Goliath this year but we have bred her back for a 2011 foal.

Lady is just the sweetest mare you'll ever see and she is this wide. She has proven herself to be a producer too. She has had five foals for us...four were overos(note: two of her foals are deceased) and of the three living, 2 have show records and the one we still have should be shown(see Beatrice on Prospects page). Since she foaled in April of 08 we left her open then we decided only to breed one mare in 2009. She is an easy breeder and such a sweatheart of a mare. Her 2005 filly was third at the APHA youth world show in 2008 at three and has won multiple large shows and has her Superior. Lady is slightly navicular on her front feet but she is barefoot and does well on our sand. Low maintenance therefore, no HYPP symptoms ever. I love this mare and I am very particular where she goes. Will be bred to A First At Last early 2010 because I think we'll get yellow and I think we'll get spots.

Lena is a gorgeous example of a Coolest mare. High withers, short back and clean neck. She has foaled a gorgeous palomino colt by A First At Last...see foals page (Bingo). Lena is a proven producer of money earners. She had one solid, one overo for us and now a palomino. The overo colt was sold to a show home in Mexico. Lena is easy to be around, let's you handle the baby, etc...a kind mare. She is for sale open for $1000. (note: priced this low because her foals need to be supplemented with milk replacer as she has only one functional teat but they are worth it! The two above were both bucket fed and did fine. Lena does supply some milk just not enough for a foal to flourish. Ideal for someone who wants to flush only.)

When we purchased Coolz she had a gray colt on her side which was her first, whose sire was a working cow horse. We loved this colt a lot and thought hmmm...bet she'll really produce with Cody! Well, she had a foal by Cody in March of 2008 (see Handsome above left) and we are not disappointed. He is very correct and fancy and has been sold for use as a stallion! She foaled another Cody foal in early April 2009 (see TEX on foals page) and he is stunning also! Both have long, clean necks, long legs and whopper butts!We had a trainer out this past summer who said CoolZ is the best looking Coolest broodmare they have ever seen! We have bred Coolz to A First At Last.

It is with deep sorrow we report the loss of this fabulous and great mare to colic in March 2008. Dreamer will forever remain one of my all time favorite mares. We are very lucky to have had the opportunity to own her for even a short time. We are fortunate that she was able to raise her filly to 5 weeks old. Etta, we call her, is doing fine and gets stronger and better each day. She has her dams head and eyes exactly so Dreamer will live on in her. Thank you Dreamer, we'll miss you!
